Project Description: Kiln 3 Preheat Tower 

Contract Location: Irish Cement Ltd, Platin Works

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Overview: This contract involved the installation of a new Preheat Tower as part of the installation of a new cement production line. 

The mechanical scope of works included the safe installation of all mechanical equipment within the cement preheat tower. Cyclones, Cyclone Riser Ducts, Cyclone Feed Pipes, Dividing Gates, Calciner, Kiln Riser, Air Blasters, Hoisting Damper and Fan, Bypass Mix Chamber, Bucket Elevators, Bag Filter and Fan, Change-Over Gate, Fluxoslides and Fans, Sluice Flap and various miscellaneous items, as well as compressed air and water pipe lines.

Direct site Labour Hours: In excess of 100,000 direct labour hours were expended on site.
